After graduating with a degree in Product Design from the University of Leeds, I have adapted my learned skills to focus on a more hands-on career.
Having always had a passion for art and design, I was determined to readjust my focus, leading me to pursue a career across Art Departments within the entertainment industry.
Consequently, I currently worked as the Theming & Set Designer for KidZania London, an immersive edutainment experience for children aged 4-14 before moving to work as a Running Props Technician at the Royal Opera House.

I have also recently acquired a freelance scenic painting role at the Hampstead Theatre.
SKILLS
Set & Theming Design
What is required in this scenario? How will the features work together? Are there any small or particular details that can be added to really embellish its credibility as real life?

The set needs to fulfil a design purpose but also be practical for those using and working within it. These considerations need to be dealt with at this stage.
Set Dressing
Whether it’s realism, absurdist or anywhere in between, a set that satisfies its purpose is the final piece of the puzzle in creating theatrical magic.
Branding
As well as designing in accordance to brand guidelines and client-specific requirements, I also produce branding from scratch, considering its purpose, partner and target audience.
Scenic Painting & Construction
From painting large scale backdrops and murals to constructing fireplaces and snowy stone arches, I have gained great experience and knowledge in this area.
Prop Making
Using a hands-on creative approach, I will conceptualise, design, and produce props as well as using my skills in digital design to create labels, packaging, and posters.

As well as laser-cutting CNC routing, my degree in Product Design has given me extensive knowledge and experience in 3D printing techniques.
Procurement & Budgets
I source props according to their requirements and practicalities, all whilst navigating budgets and considering any restrictions that may apply.
